The following are examples of classical conditioning OR operant conditioning.
For each example:
* Identify the type of conditioning being described
* If the example is classical conditioning, identify each of the following:
unconditioned stimulus (UCS)
unconditioned response (UCR)
neutral stimulus (N)
conditioned stimulus (CS) (remember, the N and CS are the same thing!)
conditioned response (CR) (remember, the UCR and CR are the same thing!)
* If the example is operant conditioning, identify each of the following:
the operant behavior
the type of consequence(reinforcement by application, reinforcement by removal, punishment by application, or punishment by removal)

Beth was driving to work one morning and as she approached an on-ramp, she slowed slightly and indicated that the driver coming up the merge lane should go ahead of her. The driver smiled and waved, which made Beth feel happy. Beth has increased her tendency to allow other drivers to merge ahead of her when she has an opportunity to do so.
Your dog Max runs to the kitchen whenever it’s time to eat. Now he has started running into the kitchen whenever you are there, especially if you use the electric can opener.
Your anatomy professor has a habit of calling on students by name to answer complex questions and then mocking them if they don’t know the answer. This has happened to you twice so far. Now, whenever you think about going to your anatomy class, you have a stress response.
