This is the first reponse I need to reply to.
From Louisiana:
Healthcare advancements: The majority of infectious diseases have been under control, and more people now have access to high-quality healthcare. Health sciences have made advancements that can provide answers. There are more people who have chronic illnesses, which can be treated. Higher standards of living: As the economy has grown, so too have the living conditions for the typical family. Both genders work, and kids as young as 15 are employed as the number of working years has increased for older persons. Diet and nutrition: People follow a variety of diets, straying from their traditional staple, and are exposed to a wide array of foods and the nutrition that goes along with them. Additionally, there is a higher understanding of the importance of eating a balanced diet, eating frequently, using microwaves and freezers to keep food clean, and other topics. Regular physical activity: Studies show that regular physical activity increases longevity by lowering the risk of chronic diseases and impairment. Gender: Data show that women have longer life expectancies than men. This is caused by biological, evolutionary, and social factors.

From Carly:
The average life expectancy is 78.9 years old, but people seem to be living longer. There are a lot of factors when staying healthy, which allows us to live a longer life. Most deaths of old age occur from illness, cancer, and diseases. This is why to live a longer life, it is important to stay in shape, eat healthy, and to sleep enough. From the Longevity section in our Life Span Development course book, Mary Butler, Billy Red Fox, Ruth Climer, and many others have similar answers when it comes to living as long as they have lived. They all have said that living in the moment and not worrying. They each say having a positive outlook has kept them going. I agree that being in a good mental state allows us to live longer. When we are stressed, it takes a toll on our body mentally and physically, therefore we are not as healthy when we are worrying and stressing. I believe that this is an agreement with psychologists believing that longevity is due to being in a good mental and physical state, not smoking, and overall having a good attitude and support system.
