I prepared the client for the treatment
I performed a double cleanse and tone of the skin using a Dermalogica Pre Cleanse and Special Cleansing
gel/toner.
I carried out a skin analysis of Sarah’s skin and determined that she had a combination skin type.
I made sure to carry out a thermal and tactile test for safety.
I ensured that the skin was fully dry and placed some goggles on her eyes.
I sanitised the Microdermabrasion machine and tested it on myself first before using it on Sarah’s skin.
Using a sterilised tweezers I removed a new filter and placed it into the hand electrode of the machine.
I set the machine to an intensity of 10 Level 1 and began by working on half of the face…working my way
out from the inner face out towards the ears ensuring I was stretching the skin as I done so.
I moved onto the forehead and again worked outwards towards the temples.
I moved onto the middle of the chin and worked slightly outwards and down the naso-labial folds.
I turned off the machine and changed the electrode to a smaller size so that I could treat the nose, under
the chin and upwards between the brows.
I then treated the other side of the face using the same sequence.
I applied some Dermalogica Plankton Mask to the t-zone and Dermalogica Multi-Vitamin Mask to the rest
of the face and left for 10 mins before removing.
I applied a toner to the whole face and then applied some Dermalogica Circular Hydration Serum followed
by Dermalogica Prism Protect SPF 30.
Client feedback:
Sarah was delighted with her treatment especially when I gave her the mirror to show her how her skin felt. She
said that Microdermabrasion was one of her favourite skin treatments.

Aftercare feedback:
I advised Sarah of the following:
• To avoid touching her skin and applying make up for at least 24 hours.
• To wear a min SPF 30 daily and to try and avoid any UV light exposure especially after microdermabrasion
as her skin will be light sensitive.
• Not to use any active skin care ie AHA’s, Retinols for at least 3 days post treatment.
• Not to have any heat treatments ie sauna, swimming and to avoid strenuous exercise for at least 48 hours.
• To use a post treatment recovery cream to hydrate and help repair the skins barrier.
• To drink plenty of water to help hydrate the skin.
• I made the client aware that the skin can tingle post treatment and that erythema and dryness can occur
which is normal within the first 24-48 hours but to seek medical advice if symptoms persist.
• I recommended the client to come back in about 7-10 days for another treatment.
• I recommended other treatments such as IPL light therapy to help lift pigmentation and also peels which I
felt would also be of benefit to her skin.

Treatment details (To include products used):
•
To start the treatment, I introduced myself, sanitized my hands, and placed a mop cap and hairband onto
the client.
• Prior to beginning the treatment, I prepared the client by ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or
questions they may have had.
• To start the facial treatment, I performed a meticulous double cleanse using Demagogical Pre Cleanse, followed
by Special Cleansing Gel/toner. This thorough cleansing process ensured the removal of any impurities, makeup,
and excess oil from the client’s skin, creating a clean canvas for the subsequent steps.
• As part of the treatment, I conducted a comprehensive skin analysis of Shahnaz’s skin. Through this assessment,
I determined that she had a combination skin type, which guided my approach and product selection to address
her specific needs effectively.
To further enhance the benefits of the treatment, I applied Demagogical Plankton Mask to the t-zone, focusing
on areas prone to oiliness, and Demagogical Multi-Vitamin Mask to the rest of the face. I left the masks on for
approximately 10 minutes before gently removing them, creating a refreshed and revitalized complexion.
• After removing the masks, I applied a toner to the entire face, promoting balance and preparing the skin for the
next steps of the skincare routine.
• Prioritizing safety, I performed a thermal and tactile test to assess the client’s skin sensitivity and tolerance. This
precautionary measure allowed me to tailor the treatment intensity accordingly, ensuring a comfortable and safe
experience for Shahnaz.
• Before proceeding further, I made sure the client’s skin was completely dry and took the necessary precaution
of placing goggles to protect her eyes during the treatment.
• Maintaining strict hygiene standards, I thoroughly sanitized the Microdermabrasion machine, prioritizing the
client’s well-being. As an additional safety measure, I tested the machine on myself first, ensuring its proper
functionality and optimal settings.
• Utilizing sterilized tweezers, I carefully removed a new filter and inserted it into the hand electrode of the
machine. This step ensured a hygienic and efficient treatment process.
• Setting the machine to an intensity of 10 Level 1, I commenced the treatment by working on half of the face.
Starting from the inner face and moving outwards towards the ears, I employed gentle stretching motions to
maximize the efficacy of the procedure while ensuring the skin’s comfort.
• After completing the previous steps, I proceeded to work on the forehead, starting from the centre and
gradually moving outwards towards the temples. This motion helped to stimulate circulation and relax the muscles
in that area.
• Next, I focused on the middle of the chin, working my way slightly outwards and downward along the nalo-labial
folds. This technique aimed to target any tension or lines in that region, promoting a smoother appearance.
• To cater to specific areas such as the nose, under the chin, and the space between the brows, I turned off the
machine and swapped the electrode for a smaller size. This adjustment allowed me to precisely treat those
delicate areas, ensuring thorough care.
• Similarly, I followed the same sequence and treated the other side of the face, ensuring symmetry and
comprehensive coverage.
• Following the toner, I applied Demagogical Circular Hydration Serum, which provided deep hydration and
nourishment to the skin. This step helped to replenish moisture and restore the skin’s natural vitality.
• Finally, I applied Demagogical Prism Protect SPF 30, ensuring that the skin was adequately protected from
harmful UV rays. This step was essential in maintaining the skin’s health and preventing future damage caused by
sun exposure.

Client feedback:
Shahnaz was overjoyed with her treatment, particularly when I handed her the mirror to witness the remarkable
transformation in her skin. The results were truly impressive, and she expressed her satisfaction with the
Microdermabrasion treatment, emphasizing that it ranked among her favorited skincare procedures.
Aftercare feedback:
I provided Shahnaz with the following recommendations and advice:
• I advised her to refrain from touching her skin and applying makeup for at least 24 hours following the
Microdermabrasion treatment. This would allow the skin to heal and prevent any potential irritation.
• I stressed the importance of daily sun protection by wearing a minimum SPF 30, especially since her skin would
be more light-sensitive after the treatment. I also advised her to minimize UV light exposure to further protect her
skin.
• I cautioned Shahnaz against using any active skincare products such as AHA’s and retinols for at least 3 days
post-treatment. This would prevent any potential interactions or sensitivities that could arise from combining
these products with the Microdermabrasion treatment.
• I recommended avoiding heat treatments like saunas, swimming, and strenuous exercise for at least 48 hours.
Heat and excessive sweating could potentially irritate the skin and hinder the healing process.
• I suggested using a post-treatment recovery cream to provide hydration and aid in repairing the skin’s barrier.
This would help soothe any potential dryness or sensitivity.
• I emphasized the importance of staying well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water, as it would contribute to skin
hydration and overall well-being.
• I informed Shahnaz that it is normal to experience mild tingling, erythema (redness), and dryness in the first 2448 hours following the treatment. However, I advised her to seek medical advice if these symptoms persisted or
worsened.
• I recommended that she consider scheduling her next Microdermabrasion treatment in approximately 7-10 days
to maintain the desired results and promote ongoing skin improvement.
• Additionally, I suggested exploring other treatments such as IPL light therapy to address pigmentation concerns
and peels to further enhance her skincare regimen.

I diligently prepared Shahnaz for her treatment, ensuring that every step was executed with precision and
care. To begin, I embarked on a thorough double cleanse and toning of her skin, utilizing the trusted
Demagogical cleansing gel/toner to achieve optimal cleanliness and a refreshed canvas.
Next, I meticulously examined Shahnaz skin under the magnifying lamp, attentively assessing its condition
in comparison to her initial treatment. This comprehensive analysis allowed me to identify any potential
changes or contraindications that may have arisen. Satisfied that her skin remained stable, I proceeded to
perform a meticulous thermal and tactile test, prioritizing her safety above all else.
Once assured of her comfort and well-being, I ensured that her skin was impeccably dry before gently
placing protective goggles over her eyes. With careful adherence to the established treatment protocol, I
recreated the exact same sequence and technique as the initial session, leaving no room for deviation.
To nourish and pamper her skin, I expertly applied the same Demagogical Masques, allowing their
rejuvenating properties to work their magic. Lastly, I took great care to apply the essential SPF30, shielding
her skin from harmful UV rays and ensuring its continued protection.
Through unwavering attention to detail and consistency, I endeavoured to provide Shahnaz with a truly
exceptional treatment experience, leaving no stone unturned in the pursuit of her skin’s ultimate wellbeing.

Shahnaz’s face lit up with pure delight as she couldn’t contain her excitement. Her skin felt absolutely incredible
after the inaugural treatment. She couldn’t help but notice the remarkable difference as her makeup effortlessly
adorned her skin, enhancing its natural beauty. What amazed her even more was the improved longevity, as her
makeup stayed flawless throughout the entirety of her day. It was a truly joyful experience for Shahnaz.
Aftercare feedback:
• I advised her to refrain from touching her skin and applying any makeup for a minimum of 24 hours to allow for
optimal healing and recovery.
• Emphasizing the importance of sun protection, I urged her to diligently wear a minimum of SPF 30 daily.
Specifically, I highlighted the significance of avoiding UV light exposure, especially considering the increased light
sensitivity of her skin following the microdermabrasion treatment.
• To avoid any potential skin irritation or adverse reactions, I advised Shahnaz to abstain from using any active
skincare products containing ingredients such as AHA’s or retinols for at least 3 days after the treatment.
• Heat treatments, including saunas and swimming, as well as intense physical exercise, were strongly discouraged
for a minimum of 48 hours to allow the skin to recuperate fully.
• To aid in the recovery process and promote skin hydration and repair, I recommended the use of a posttreatment recovery cream. This would help replenish moisture and support the restoration of the skin’s natural
barrier.
• Recognizing the importance of internal hydration, I encouraged Shahnaz to drink plenty of water to keep her skin
adequately hydrated from within.
• I made Shahnaz aware that it is normal to experience post-treatment tingling and that erythema (redness) and
dryness may occur within the first 24-48 hours. However, I advised her to seek medical advice if these symptoms
persist or worsen.
• Lastly, I suggested that Shahnaz schedule her next treatment session in approximately 7-10 days to maintain the
desired results and continue her skincare journey effectively.

Client Profile/Lifestyle:
Jane has an active lifestyle. Jane has a young child at home, and she is also a student. Jane cleanses, tones and
moisturizers twice every day.
Jane drinks 2L of water every day but drinks a lot of coffee.
She also does not smoke and gets a good amount of sleep.
She uses an SPF sometimes but not all the time.
Jane never really exfoliates her skin or uses a mask either.
iUBT427_Treatment Evidence Form_v2
Treatment details – (To include products used):
-I first cleansed and toned my clients’ skin.
-Then I did a skin analysis on my clients’ skin. Jane has ephelides on her forehead with fine pores/ melia under the
eyes/ fine pores on nose/ commadones and papules on chin/ dry skin with some ephelides on her neck and dry
skin with some redness on her cheeks. I conclude that she has combination skin with an oily t-zone and slight
dryness on the cheeks.
-Next I tinted my clients lashes with black dye and tinted my client’s eyebrows with dark brown tint.
(Both colours where my client’s choice)
-I then measured my client’s brows and tweezed her eyebrows. My client only wanted a tidy up.
-Next I did a face, neck and shoulder massage on my client.
-I then did put a face mask on my client. For my client I used kaolin and witch hazel for her chin because that is
where she is oily but the rest of her face including her cheeks, I used Colloidal.
-To remove the mask, I used my sponges and once I removed the mask, I toned my client’s skin and applied some
moisturizer.
Client feedback:
My client was happy with the overall treatment.
Aftercare feedback:
My aftercare advice for Jane would be;
1.
Cleanse /Tone and moisturise (x2 am/pm)
2.
Exfoliate once a week to refine skin texture and improve the skins ability to absorb products
3.
Using a facemask for oily to combination skin once a week
4.
Use an SPF 30
5.
Use an eye cream twice a day
6.
Increase water intake to 2 litres a day
7.
Try and reduce stress levels
8.
Try to get 8 hours sleep
9.
Try to get a facial every 4-6 weeks.

I prepared the Shauna for her treatment
I performed a double cleanse and tone of the skin using Strictly
professional cream cleanser for dry dehydrated skin.
I carried out a skin analysis of Shauna’s skin and determined that she
had a dry skin type.
I made sure to carry out a thermal and tactile test for safety using hot
and cold water bottles, a sharp wooden stick and a soft cotton bud.
I ensured that the skin was fully dry and placed some sanitised goggles
on her eyes.
I sanitised the Microdermabrasion machine with surgical spirits and
tested it on myself first before using it on Shauna’s skin.
Using sterilised tweezers I removed a new filter and placed it into the
hand electrode of the machine.
I set the machine to an intensity of 10 Level 1 and started by working
on half of the face, working my way from the inner part of the face out
towards the ears to help with lymphatic drainage ensuring I was
stretching the skin taught.
I moved onto the forehead and again worked outwards towards the
temples.
I moved onto the middle of the chin and worked slightly outwards and
down the naso-labial folds.
I turned off the machine and changed the electrode to a smaller size so
that I could treat the nose, under the chin and upwards between the
brows. I also changed the filter for a new one.
I then treated the other side of the face using the same sequence.
I applied a toner with glycerin and rose water to the whole face and
then applied some hydrating moisturiser and Dermalogica Protect SPF
30.
Client feedback:
Shauna was delighted with her treatment. She said that she loves the Microdermabrasion
skin treatment because it has no down time and made her skin glow instantly. She loved how
her congestion was reduced around her chin.
Aftercare feedback:
I advised Shauna of the following:
· To avoid touching her skin and applying makeup for at least 24 hours.
. When using makeup opt for mineral foundation makeup.
· To wear a min SPF 30 daily and to try and avoid any UV light exposure especially
after microdermabrasion as her skin will be UV sensitive.
· Not to use any active skin care such as AHA’s, BHA’s and Retinols for at least 3
days post treatment.
· Not to have any heat treatments ie sauna, swimming and to avoid exercise for at
least 48 hours.
· To use a post treatment recovery cream to hydrate and help repair the skin’s
barrier.
· To drink plenty of water to help hydrate the skin.
. I told Shauna to introduce omega 3 fatty acids into her diet to help with dryness.
·
·
I made the client aware that the skin can tingle post treatment and that erythema
and dryness can occur which is normal within the first 24-48 hours but to seek
medical advice if symptoms persist after 48 hours.
I recommended the client to come back in about 7-10 days for another treatment.
