You should download EACH app and play, for at least a few minutes each, the following games (see below for each description).
After each game, write a short description of how the game exemplifies various concepts covered throughout the semester.
Please note that multiple games may address the same concept, and a single game may address multiple concepts (i.e., just because I list a game under “Attention” does not mean it doesn’t also relate to memory, perception, etc.). However, you should find the requested concepts for each game. Thus, even if you find an attention concept in the visual perception game, for example, you would still give two visual perception concepts. Your goal is to find 2 concepts within each of these 5 main areas, for a total of 10 concepts: 2 Visual Perception, 2 Attention, 2 Memory, 2 Language, and 2 Problem Solving/Decision Making/Reasoning.
So, for example, if discussing Visual Perception, you might describe 2 different Gestalt principles of grouping, or you could describe one Gestalt principle and one tradeoff, etc.
For each concept, make sure you indicate how it is present AND how it helps you play or succeed at the game. For example, if I were to indicate that finding edges through discontinuity was present in Find the Differences (with a detailed example), I’d still need to explain how finding edges allowed me to spot differences within the game (note, pick a different concept, don’t use this example in Game 1).
You must include screenshots where applicable to help explain your examples.

You can download luminosity for free, and they have 3 daily games you can play for free. You can also sign up for a free 14 day trial to access all of the games, although this should not be necessary. Make sure to select that you are interested in training your attention. Each day I have checked, there has been a free attention game (Playing Koi, Train of Thought, etc for divided attention, star search, lost in migration, etc for selective attention). Please choose ONE attention game—the game should indicate either it is either a divided or selected attention game. NOTE: the “fit test” you complete at the beginning probably has an attention game—you can use this one if so.
