A budget also affects the strategic plan in the form of prioritization and resource allocation. The strategic plan guides resource allocation within the budget. It identifies major strategic priorities and activities that demand funding. The process of budgeting considers the strategic objectives and allocates resources appropriately, ensuring that major initiatives are given adequate financial support (Stanley & Stanley, 2018).The strategic plan also impacts investment planning.
