Please describe what you have learned about the importance of relationships for psychological health. Think about an important friendship in your life and consider what social psychological factors may have brought you together.
Instructions
Give a brief overview of what you have learned from this module about the importance of relationships for psychological health. Feel free to include work on how relationships improve health and how the absence of relationships impede health (e.g., ostracism research). You also have the freedom to introduce alternative perspectives or caveats to the importance of relationships for health (e.g., when relationships might hamper health).
Pick an important friendship in your life and describe how you met. Consider what social psychological factors may have brought you together and may influence your relationship now. (Revisit the reading, “Love, Friendship, and Social Support.”)
