Executive Summary – adhere to page limits
Our organization. (Maximum half-page to describe your team and what you can provide to your client –
include your research, course materials and resources or experiences you bring to the project.
College graduation is a challenging goal and rewarding achievement. AskDrH will provide your
organization with the skills, techniques and interventions necessary to ensure you maximize
opportunities to achieve your goal of college graduation. Working with us, you WILL have a solid
consulting experience for you and your clients. This Executive Summary will introduce you to key
concepts and structural considerations to achieve your dream of a model summary and successful client
presentation.
Client. (Maximum half-page) – IDENTIFY A REAL WORLD ORGANIZATION TO GROUND YOUR PROJECT
Describe your client, who they are, their industry, their chief activities or products. What are the
environmental considerations – competition, economy, contemporary sociocultural and psychological
issues, etc – related to their work?
Challenges & opportunities. (Maximum one page)
State the problem as your team and the client have identified it. Refer to client documents, web pages
or meetings (if you are working with an IRL in person organization). Contextualize the problem in the
larger world by applying your course text (CITES), not just within the organization. Show WHY the
project matters. Let your client know the consequences of not doing anything. A concise and creative
executive summary will hook your client to want to know more about what you will do and how you will
do it and WHY it matters. You may use text or bullet points or a combination.

Remember to use concise language and SPELL and GRAMMAR CHECK!!
Remember to use psychological terms and concepts to frame the issues and solutions
A poorly constructed executive summary is death to a good grade

Measuring success.
Your clients will want to know how they are achieving improvement. How will you measure results? Text
or a combination of text and bullet points is acceptable here.

Will students achieve higher GPA’s, graduate high school and matriculate college? How will you

Will creativity increase? How will you know? CITE your research sources if they recommend

Resources consulted.
Provide an APA format reference list of your research articles and course text. Also, include any web
sites or printed material you consult that is not a research article. Remember, using 10 research articles
is the baseline for a satisfactory grade (C). If you want to earn a higher grade, you will need more
resources and to integrate them more thoughtfully into your analysis and recommendations.
