Sealants are a preventative tool to protect children’s teeth from cavities. Dental anatomy can vary from
person to person. Newly erupted teeth can have deep grooves that can be difficult to keep clean.
Sealants provide protection by sealing the groves therefore preventing cavities. Sealants can last as long
as 5 years and often longer.
