Reference your Module Two journal assignment to further explore the individual perceptions and resulting behaviors discussed. How will you take individual perceptions into consideration in conflict management? Do you feel after the reading and discussion this week that you may change your leadership approach relative to how you observe behavior? In addition, how will you be thinking about how shared perceptions may be influencing individuals and the departments?

Workplace Behavior
Some workplace characteristics that I have developed overtime due to various working
environments would be organization and time management. These two go hand in hand for me. When it
comes to speaking in front of others or giving a presentation that everyone expects you to be a expert
on it could become challenging, however I taught myself to relax and look at my audience as humans. As
humans, we all make mistakes, stumble across words, or may not know the answer to all questions. This
allows every individual to grow.
I’m always organized, whether that’s creating checklists, setting alarms, or having my desk with
color-coded sticky notes, I like to be organized and have structure to my day and workplace. Being
organized is a no-brainer for me, because that means I know what is coming next and what I may have
to go back too if needed. When my boss comes up to me and ask for a certain task or certain paperwork,
I will be able to pinpoint exactly the source that is needed without feeling peer pressure and with not
wasting my boss’s time as well. Time management plays its part in being organized because you have to
pace yourself to make sure all of your checklist is accomplished, or while giving a presentation that I’m
giving all necessary information in enough time for the human brains average attention span without
losing the interest of my audience with unnecessary information. Time management helps you not feel
bombarded or as if, I’m spending too much time of my energy on something that should only take half
as much time. While being organized I can manage my time by which task are more important and also
time-savvy. My time management needs have to be on-point for the rest of the workplace to flow
because then it would be a domino effect of structure. Once one person starts falling behind, we all fall
behind is the way I perceive work flow.
