Various factors may influence the health behaviors of the target population, including culture, beliefs, social norms, ideology, and practices. Perceptions, attitudes, awareness, discrimination, prejudice, oppression, and aggression may also have an impact.
In this assignment, you will explore behavioral diversity by interviewing an individual who is different from you in culture, race/ethnicity, age, or other distinguishing factor. From the interview, you will identify a health issue relevant to the individual or someone related to the individual. Then you will analyze the influences, which promote health and wellness choices and motivate attitudes and behaviors toward change.
